All former Maoist groups are taking a solid initiative for unity: PM Prachanda

Pokhara, July 1 : Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has stated that a solid initiative for unity has been taken among the former Maoist forces.

On Saturday morning, during an interactive program with central members and provincial officials of the party in Pokhara, Chairman of the CPN(MC) Prachanda mentioned that discussions for unity among the former Maoist forces have been ongoing.

He also expressed concern that if the party becomes weak, the changes achieved so far would also weaken. He highlighted the need for unity among the former Maoists and emphasized that everyone should think and work in the best interest of the country.

He also mentioned that he envisions a new way to strengthen the party. He said, “We have the pride of history, the pride of sacrifice and dedication. We also have the hope and trust placed in us by the people. It is necessary to channelize all of that towards nation-building.”

Prime Minister Prachanda criticized feudalism and reactionism and clarified that he is not against the monarchy or the country but rather wants to eradicate it. He said, “For nation-building, we need a new perspective. We must eradicate the obstacles to social justice, good governance, and prosperity. We need to move forward with determination. The government is firm in this regard.”

Prime Minister Prachand emphasized the need for a new mandate once again for nation-building and claimed that efforts should be made to eradicate obstacles in social justice, good governance, and prosperity. He stated, “We are searching for ways to do better. Feudalism and reactionism have already been struck by the hammer of change, and we cannot let the country remain unclear. It is necessary to have a new mandate for nation-building. We must strive for social justice, good governance, and prosperity. We must move forward with determination in these aspects. The government is strong in this regard.”

He also mentioned the work being done by the newly formed Socialist Front to build the foundation of socialism and praised the involvement of former Maoists in the discussions. He stressed the importance of solid initiatives for party unity.

Prime Minister Prachanda also mentioned the preparations for the party’s special general convention. He stated that it will contribute to the party’s reconstruction and ensure organized ownership of the government’s work, party-building, the Socialist Front, and efforts for party unity.
