Reunion of the Maoist parties is essential: Viplav

Kapilvastu, July 3 : NCP leader Netra Bikram Chand Viplav has emphasized the need for discussion on the subject of the communist movement in Nepal, stating that it is crucial to unite.

He mentioned that the formation of a socialist front is also important besides the unity of the Maoist parties. Chand claims that they have been somewhat successful in the newly formed Socialist Front.

Speaking with journalists at the central office of the party in Shiwagadhi, Kapilvastu District, western part of Nepal, Chand mentioned that although they have joined the Socialist Front, he did not mention the possibility of transforming his party into a parliamentary party.

Unity among the Maoist parties is necessary. Discussions are ongoing for that. However, there is no entry into the well-organized aspect of the matter. After focusing on unity, we will make policies, ideas, and programs according to the demands of the organizational field wherever we are prepared,” Chand said.

Referring to the news regarding Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda’s meeting, Chand stated that the discussion was not only about party unity but also about national independence and the situation-based tendencies.

Despite being affiliated with the Socialist Front, he mentioned that he supported the government’s good work and opposed the bad work. He said, “If necessary, we don’t hesitate to struggle and protest.”

The Front, formed among the four parties, aims to bring stability and resolution to the country, and Chand stated that he and his party have also joined the front. He clarified their achievements so far to defend.

“The practice of parliamentary system in the country for 15 years has not been successful. It is clear to the entire nation, not only the common people but also intellectuals and politicians, that it has failed. With that understanding, we have to bring the country forward in socialism. After that, we can achieve stability and peace. That is why we have come to this front,” said Chand.
