PM to clarify his statement,UML to lift the obstruction in Parliament

Kathmandu, July 9 : Following the agreement reached after the Prime Minister clarified his statement, the UML have decided to lift the obstruction in Parliament. After discussions held at Singhadurbar, it has been agreed to normalize the functioning of the Parliament.

UML leader and Chief whip Padam Giri informed about the agreement to hold a parliamentary session for normal functioning.

He said, “We have taken the Prime Minister’s statement seriously. Today, the Prime Minister will also address the Parliament. We will also present our views.”

During the high-level meeting, the Prime Minister will apologize to the public for his expression and UML Chairman Oli had made a demand for an apology. However, the Prime Minister has clarified that there is no subject for which he should apologize.

The Prime Minister has stated that he will provide clarification in Parliament and will not give a distorted explanation, while the UML have indicated that they will again obstruct the Parliament.

UML Deputy Parliamentary Party Leader Suvas Nemwang, who said that the parliamentary proceedings would continue if the Prime Minister’s clarification was satisfactory, revealed this.

After discussions among the three parties, the UML have backed down from their demand for the resignation of the Prime Minister.
