No innocent person should be harassed, and the guilty cannot be set free: DPM Shrestha

Kathmandu,July 10 : Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister Narayan Kaji Shrestha has requested not to intimidate innocent individuals. He has expressed his commitment to taking action against fake refugees and the illegal occupation of Lalita Niwas land.

However, Home Minister Shrestha has also stated that no leniency will be shown to the guilty and criminals. He has also issued a warning against manipulating the law for personal gain, fraud, corruption, organized crime, and treason, apart from being involved in social media. He said, “No innocent person should be harassed, but the guilty and criminals will not be set free.”

He further wrote, “The law cannot differentiate between the rich and the poor, the privileged and the underprivileged. Do not have such expectations.”
