Kathmandu July 13 : Foreign Minister NP Saud addressed the National Assembly on Thursday and informed them about the ongoing discussions on the implementation of the BRI project with China.

“There have been ongoing discussions between the two countries regarding the implementation of the BRI initiative,” he said during his address.

Nepal and China signed an agreement on the BRI in 2017. However, no decision has been made on how to advance specific projects under the BRI.

Earlier, during the inauguration of Pokhara International Airport, Chinese Ambassador to Nepal Chen Song had claimed that projects under the BRI were being implemented.

Although foreign minister Said has informed that no specific project under the BRI has progressed so far.
