Kathmandu July 20 : In Manipur, India, amid the bloody struggle between the ‘Meitei’ and ‘Kuki’ groups, a video showing sexual assault against two women has been made public.

The two women are shown getting thrashed and stripped off in the footage. Both the opposition and the ruling parties in India have expressed outrage over the publication of this film.

Narendra Modi, the prime minister of India, has expressed extreme sorrow over the occurrence. Additionally, he has said that anyone accountable for the tragedy will face harsh punishment.

Modi received criticism for keeping quiet about the violence in Manipur longer.

The Manipur Police have reported the incident as a murder, gang rape, and abduction involving an unidentified group. According to Indian media, the police have also started looking for the incident’s participants.

N. Biren Singh, the chief minister of Manipur and a BJP leader, has claimed that efforts are being taken to hang the offenders. He claims that one of the incident’s suspects has been captured. On July 28, the case will also be heard by the Indian Supreme Court.
