PM Prachanda Departure to Italy, Schedule to Meet with UN Secretary-General

Kathmandu, July 22: Prime Minister Pushpakamal Dahal Prachanda has left for Italy to participate in the United Nations’ Food System Summit.

From the 24th to the 26th of July, the aforementioned summit is scheduled to take place, and Prime Minister Prachanda has departed for Rome, Italy on Saturday evening.

Accompanying Prime Minister Prachanda on this visit are Minister for Agriculture and Livestock Development Beduram Bhusal, National Planning Commission member Dr. Jayakant Raut, and Prime Minister’s private secretary Ganga Dahal.

Upon his departure, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Home Affairs Narayan Kaji Shrestha, Foreign Minister Narayan Prakash Saud, Chief Secretary Baikuntha Aryal, and other leaders were present at the airport. The Prime Minister is scheduled to address the United Nations’ Food System Summit in Italy.

In the context of the “United Nations Food Summit Plus Two Stacked Moments” summit, Prime Minister Prachanda will officially present Nepal’s views. The program includes a meeting with the Secretary-General of the United Nations, António Guterres.
