Kathmandu, July 23 : The top leader of the Communist Party of China (CPC), Yuan Jiajuan, who is currently on a visit to Nepal, met with President Ramchandra Poudel.
Today, the delegation led by Yuan, including members of the CPC Central Committee’s Political Bureau and the Secretary of Chongqing Municipal Committee, visited the Shital Niwas and met with President Poudel.
During the meeting, they discussed the bilateral relations between the two countries, mutual interests, and matters of cooperation. The President’s office expressed confidence that this visit by the Chinese leader will further strengthen the bilateral relations in the coming days.
Prior to this, Yuan had held a virtual meeting with Prime Minister Pushpakamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ in Rome, Italy.
After his visit to Sri Lanka, Yuan arrived in Kathmandu and is expected to stay here for three days.
Today, Yuan also had a meeting with Acting Prime Minister, along with Defense Minister Purna Bahadur Khadka and Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister Narayan Kaji Shrestha, to discuss matters of mutual interest.
