In the change of Nepal, the Maoist role is vital: BJP

Kathmandu July 25: The Bharatiya Janata Party revealed the significant role of the Maoist in Nepal’s transformation.

A delegation led by the Maoist Center’s Vice-Chairman, Pampha Bhusal, held discussions with a team that was in India on a visit. The leaders of the BJP also stated this.

As part of the BJP’s invitation, the Nepalese leaders who reached Delhi, India, met with various levels of BJP leaders at their headquarters.

Yesterday evening, the Maoist leaders had discussions and meetings with the youth committee, women’s committee, and communication department of the BJP.

During their visit, Chairman JP Nadda of the BJP separately met and held discussions with them.

In that meeting, Chairman Nadda asserted that both parties had been fighting for change in their respective countries. He mentioned that the Maoists had a long struggle, and the BJP also went through a prolonged struggle and effort for change in India. Chairman Nadda expressed the need for the BJP and the Maoist Center to work together for change, economic prosperity, and development.

Recently, even Prime Minister Prachanda’s visit to India has further strengthened the relationship between the two countries. Chairman Nadda mentioned that there is also a plan to establish relations between the parties.

Similarly, the leaders of the Maoist Center have scheduled a meeting with Indian Foreign Minister S. Jaishankar on Tuesday. Though the official program to meet with Foreign Minister Jaishankar is not yet confirmed, the BJP is said to be preparing to meet with him as well.

Yesterday, the Maoist leaders also met with the Women, Children, and Social Welfare Minister, Smriti Irani.

The Maoist leaders are set to depart for Dehradun on Wednesday. They are scheduled to participate in the Ganga Aarti in Rishikesh and meet with the Chief Minister of Uttarakhand, Pushkar Singh Dhami. The Maoist leaders will be staying in Dehradun for two days and are expected to return to Nepal on the 28th of this month.
