Kathmandu: The ruling Nepal Communist Party (Maoist Center) has decided to hold a party constitution conference in the upcoming month of Mangsir(November/December). The central committee meeting scheduled for Monday morning has set the agenda for the upcoming central committee meeting, constitution conference, and a proposed agenda for a special Party convention In March 2024.

The proposal for the party’s special convention has been put forward for approval by the central committee meeting. Party Secretary Dinanath Sharma informed the reporters. The Maoist Center’s tenth national convention had taken place in the previous year December 2021. At that time, the announcement for a quick special convention has been made.

The central committee meeting has also decided on the division of responsibilities among the leaders. According to the decision, a three-month program has been set to reach all wards of municipalities across the country.

‘Submitting the proposal for the upcoming national convention within these three months to finalize its proceedings is what we are aiming for,’ said Secretary Sharma in an interview with NepalPage, ‘Our party has also decided to hold a special convention which will be held in March 2024. The implementation will commence following the approval from the central committee meeting.’
