Janamat Party’s MP Sah Takes Oath as Minister

Kathmandu: Janamat Party’s Member of Parliament, Anitadevi Sah, has taken the oath of office as a minister. On Monday, President Ramchandra Poudel administered the oath to her at Shital Niwas.

During the swearing-in ceremony, Prime Minister Pushpakamal Dahal Prachanda, Vice President Ramsahay Yadav, Speaker Devraj Ghimire, National Assembly Chairman Ganesh Timilsina, and others were present.

Having expressed dissatisfaction with the division of ministries about four months ago, Janamat Party had withdrawn from the government. However, they have now re-participated in the government. The party had recommended the name of proportional representation MP Anitadevi Sah for the ministerial position. Janamat Party had recommended Sah’s name a week ago, while they had recommended Sah’s name to Prime Minister prachanda seven weeks ago.
