22 leaders of the CPN (UML) on a 12-day visit to China (lists)

Kathmandu: Nepal Communist Party (UML) secretary General, including 22 members, are set to embark on a 12-day visit to China. A high-level delegation led by Secretary General Shankar Pokharel is scheduled to undertake a goodwill trip to China.

Upon the invitation of the Communist Party of China, Pokharel’s team will depart for China on Saturday night. The delegation includes members of the party’s Central Committee, such as Dr. Rajan Bhattarai, a member of the Standing Committee and Chief of the Department of Foreign Affairs, as well as Rajendra Gautam, a member of the Standing Committee and Chief of the Publicity Department.

During the visit, the delegation will tour three major cities in Peoples republic of China, including Chongqing, Beijing, and Shanghai. The visit is expected to address various dimensions of bilateral relations between Nepal and China, as well as explore the party-to-party ties between Nepal’s NCP (UML) and the Communist Party of China (CPC).
