Nepal must maintain balanced relations with China and India: NC Chair Deuba

Kathmandu: Nepali Congress President and former Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba has said that Nepal should move forward by maintaining a balance with China and India. Speaking at a program organized in Kathmandu on Tuesday, President Deuba said that Nepal should always maintain a balance with both China and India because Nepal has always been a bridge between the two countries.

“We can understand both China and India. By balancing them, we can move forward. We can be friends, but we can’t be relatives. India and China are Nepal’s neighbors forever. We can’t change them; we have to accept that. By maintaining a balance, we have to move forward. This is where our wisdom lies. It is our duty to solve our problems,” he said.

President Deuba said that the government and bureaucracy can only develop the country by working together.
