SSP Yog Bahadur Pal resigns

KATHMANDU: Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Yog Bahadur Pal, who was accused of sexually abusing a female constable, has resigned from his post.

He submitted the resignation on Saturday.

Nepal Police spokesperson Kuber Kadayat said that a letter of resignation has been sent to the Home Ministry for approval.

Nepal Police headquarters had formed a committee after a complaint of sexually abusing a female police constable was filed against him.

According to a source, Pal tendered his resignation after the committee found him guilty in the case and recommended dismissal.

Pal had sexually abused the female constable while she had gone to ask for leave when he was the chief at the Sudurpaschim Province Police Office.
