Banke DAO urges denizens not to spread misleading information through social media

Khajura, Oct.4: The District Administration Office (DAO), Banke has requested denizens not to use social networks to propagate misleading information that has the capacity to damage social harmony.

Issuing a press release on Wednesday, DAO urged citizens not to use or make others use social media to spread misleading information that can destroy social harmony. 

The DAO said that the security personnel of different security agencies have been mobilized in an effective and coordinated manner to maintain peace and security in Nepalgunj. 

According to DAO Banke, security personnel used force during the procession on Tuesday to take the security matter under control. 22 people including five security personnel received injuries in a scuffle. 

The 21 injured have returned home after receiving treatment in different health institutions, while, one is receiving treatment in Bheri Hospital.

The DAO Banke has asked political parties of the district, civil society and citizens to join hands in maintaining peace and order.

The curfew order was enforced in the Nepalgunj since 1 PM on Tuesday.
