District Coordination Committee searching for govt property

Sindhupalchowk, Oct. 8:The District Coordination Committee of Sindhupalchowk is keeping track of all the movable and immovable assets of the government under the committee for their conservation.

Bal Krishna Shrestha, chief of the committee, informed that any asset registered and recorded under the District Coordination Committee on any date is being searched for.

“A bulldozer, which is over two decades old, was found near the monastery in Mulkharka, a rural area in Simpalkavre village of Indrawati Rural Municipality. The bulldozer was lying stranded along a road inside the forest,” said Shrestha. He added, “We will try to repair the bulldozer and bring it to use if possible.”

According to Shrestha, there are at least a dozen excavators, bulldozers and other vehicles under the then district development committee and the current district coordination committee.

“There are ropanis of land under the name of the district committee. The whereabouts and situation of all the property under the committee’s ownership are being tracked,” said Shrestha.

Once a property is tracked, the district coordination committee ensures it is conserved, protected and utilised properly. The initiation is also being taken to ensure that none of the government property is being misused by others.

The coordination committee has also sought information from the locals of Sindhupalchowk, a district with 12 local levels, regarding the misuse or location of government property.
