Balefi (Sindhupalchowk), Nov 30: Minister for Health and Population, Mohan Bahadur Basnet, has said education is the main basis of overall development.

Addressing the 43rd anniversary of Bhimsen Secondary School at Balefi rural municipality-3 of Sindhupalchowk district on Wednesday, Minister Basnet claimed that there would be no development of any sector unless the development of education.

He mentioned that teachers, students and guardians have a responsibility for the quality of education.

“Teachers and guardians have a huge responsibility to increase the educational quality of students. People’s representatives make arrangements for human resources and physical infrastructures required for the same”, shared Minister Basnet. 

Similarly, he also pointed out the need to launch a campaign for the development of education and to stop child marriage.

Minister Basnet further said development of physical infrastructures has taken speed in Sindhupalchowk.

On the occasion, he announced to provision Rs 51,000 in financial assistance for the construction of a playground at the school. Minister Basnet also honoured the locals providing land for the construction of the school building. (RSS)
