Minister Jwala’s vehicle torched

Kathmandu, Dec 29: Minister for Physical Infrastructure and Transport Prakash Jwala’s vehicle (Ba 2 Jha 5861) has been torched in the Balkumari of Lalitpur.

Senior Superintendent of Metropolitan Police Range Lalitpur Shiddhi Bikram KC informed that one person was injured after police fired a bullet to take the situation under control while the minister’s vehicle was torched.

RSS wrote, a group of youths set ablaze the vehicle of Minister Jwala in a fit of anger for not being allowed to fill the application form of the Employment Permit System (EPS) today, said Spokesperson of Nepal Police, DIG Kuber Kadayat.     

DIG Kadayat confirmed, “The agitating youths set the vehicle on fire. We have arrested five of them. The Minister has been rescued and sent to the Singha Durbar safely.”     

A group of youths has been gathering and protesting in front of the EPS office at Gwarko, Lalitpur from today morning, he said.
