PM Prachanda preparing to reshuffle Cabinet: MC spokesperson Sapkota

Kathmandu, Jan 2: The ruling CPN (Maoist Centre) has said that Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ is planning to reshuffle the Council of Ministers to make the work of government much more effective.  

Prime Minister Prachanda’s expressions imply that he is planning to reshuffle the Cabinet, said spokesperson of the CPN (Maoist Centre) Agni Prasad Sapkota at a press meeting in the party’s central office in Paris Danda held to inform about the ‘Conclusion of Special Transformation Campaign.

He shared that the government is a coalition government therefore, a conclusion will be reached only after having a good discussion in the coalition. 

Vice-Chairperson Sapkota, said, “While assessing the expression of the PM, it can be understood that preparations are underway to restructure the cabinet if it is needed, but, only after a proper discussion with a coalition partners as the government is a coalition government.”

He said, “The work should move forward even if it means the reshuffling of the ministers. The work of the whole panel of ministers should be made effective. But, a serious and concrete review has not taken place. The PM has called for the direction about his expression. The conclusion will be reached only when discussion on the matter will take place.”

Spokesperson Sapkota said that the decision about the Cabinet reshuffle will be made only after a thorough discussion on the expression of the PM.
