Lalitpur metropolis actively engaged in reconstruction of heritages

Lalitpur, June 30: The Lalitpur Metropolitan City is actively engaged in reconstruction and rehabilitation of temples and shrines, the traditional stone spouts and other heritages damaged due to earthquake.

Works have been started for the repair and maintenance as well as rehabilitation of the heritages damaged in the 2015 Earthquake and awaiting reconstruction, Lalitpur Metropolitan City, Ward No 4 Chair, Santosh Khadka told RSS.    


Similarly, Metropolis, Ward No 21 Chair Rajendra Maharjan said there are about 15 historic heritages in the Ward No 21 and the Ward Office is at work for the conservation and rehabilitation of the damaged heritages.    


It is said 400 ponds within the metropolis are also in the process of repair and maintenance.    
Prof Ram Kumar Panta, who has carried out extensive research on the heritages of Lalitpur, said that many heritages of archaeological importance damaged by earthquake have been reconstructed. (RSS)
