One killed, 29 injured in Pokhara school bus accident

Lekhnath, July 29: As many as 29 students received injuries when a school bus met with an accident in Pokhara on Monday morning.

The ill-fated school bus of LP Devkota Memorial English Boarding School of Pardi, Birauta, Pokhara heading towards Birauta from Ramdi got into an accident at the roundabout of Furshekhola of Pokhara Metropolitan City-21.

The bus with a registration number (Ga 1 Ka 6319) veered off some 60 meters down the road. 27 students including the bus driver, co-driver, and a guardian were onboard the bus.

The injured are taken to Gandaki Medical College, Gandaki Hospital, and Manipal Teaching Hospital (MTH after the rescue.

According to the Deputy Superintendent of Police of the Ward Police Office, Baidam, Sundar Shrestha, a 32-year-old female employee of the school Aarati BK  died on the spot.  Meanwhile, some students have received serious injuries. The detailed description of the accident is yet to be ascertained.
