Kathmandu, Aug.21: The Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP) has decided to handle the responsibility of repairing the destroyed health equipment of the federal hospitals to the National Innovation Center Nepal.
The agreement was signed between the Health Ministry and the Center in the presence of Health Minister Pradeep Paudel.
Minister Paudel said that the health equipment needs to be managed well to make the health sector orderly therefore the agreement was signed with the Center.
He said that making use of the unused equipment will make the hospital clean and the hospital will get the necessary equipment.
Minister Paudel expressed his belief that this step will be important in equipment management in all 17 federal hospitals.
Speaking at the event Centre chairperson Pun said that the National Innovation Centre has another significant responsibility in connection with the improvement of the health sector.
He said that this responsibility is related to the repair and maintenance of biomedical equipment at government hospitals and to determining the condition of such appliances.
Pun said that this is a big responsibility for them saying that if the equipment is kept in good condition and provided on time, lives can be saved.
