Kathmandu, Sep.2: A delegation team of the National Defence College of India, currently on a study visit to Nepal, met Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli on Monday. 

In the meeting held at the Prime Minister’s official residence in Baluwatar on Monday, PM Oli praised the academic contribution made by the college in defence matters and emphasized that there should be joint efforts for the peace and prosperity of the South Asian nations.

He said that the violence and disputes erupting in these areas where peace initiator personalities, Gautam Buddha and Mahatma Gandhi, were born against the culture and civilization of this region.  

Mentioning the common culture, lifestyle, and civilization, shared between Nepal and India, and said that the mutual friendship between the two countries is growing. 

According to the Prime Minister’s Secretariat, Indian Ambassador to Nepal Naveen Srivastava, college representative Sandeep S Sandu, and other delegations participated in the meeting.
