Number of deaths in Narayangadh bus accident reaches five

Narayangadh, Nov.8: The number of people who lost their lives to the accident that occurred at Satrakilo, Narayanghat-Mugling road section has reached five. 

With the death of one injured who was undergoing treatment at Chitwan Medical College on Friday night the number of deaths has reached five. 

According to Superintendent of Police Gautam Mishra of the District Police Office, Chitwan, The 40-year-old driver of the electric vehicle Anoj Adhikari of Khairahani Municipality-4 died in the course of treatment at the hospital 

The electric vehicle (06-001 Ja 0298) that was heading towards Narayanghat to Mugling and the bus (03-001 Kha 2812 ) coming from opposite direction head-on collided causing an accident at Satrakilo, Bharatpur Metropolitan City at 3 AM on Friday. 

The identity of the three deceased is yet to be ascertained. The identity of the other deceased is 40-year-old Raj Bahadur Gurung of Arughat Rural Municipality, Gorkha. 

Mishra speculated that an accident might have been caused because the driver of the electric vehicle might have fallen asleep. 

He said, “Of the six passengers in the electric vehicle five are dead, remaining one is receiving treatment at Chitwan Medical Hospital. Meanwhile, all onboard passengers in the bus have returned home after initial treatment.”
