‘Health Conclave will be effective to bring Nepali human resources back home’

Kathmandu, Dec 26: Minister for Health and Population, Pradip Paudel, has said the issue of bringing Nepali human resources working abroad back to Nepal is challenging.

At the Nepal Health Conclave began from today, Minister Paudel shared that though it was challenging to bring human resources of health sector, who are working abroad, the government would take initiatives to bring capable human resources back.

He expressed the belief that the conference would be effective to bring the capable human resources back to the country. “There are challenges how to stop the brain drain of the human resources as well as how to utilize and connect capability and experience of human resources, who are in abroad,” mentioned Minister Paudel.

The Health Minister added that the conference would draw conclusion after holding discussion on alternatives and plans to stop brain drain of health workers.

He pointed out the need of collaboration of all sides, as the common objective of the Nepalis, in home and abroad, is to build the nation.

The two-day conclave, ‘Nepal Health Conference 2024: Coordinating Diaspora for Healthcare Strengthening’ is aimed at promoting partnerships, exchange knowledge and discuss challenges facing the health sector of the country.  (RSS)
