If only one person desires it, the evil won’t be eradicated: PM Prachanda

Rome, Italy July 26: “Prime Minister Puspakamal Dahal Prachanda, spoke about the current government’s new campaign towards social justice, good governance, development, and prosperity. The non-resident Nepali community in Italy warmly welcomed the Prime Minister during the program in Rome and praised the government for taking strong steps against corruption and lawlessness.

He emphasized the government’s goal of bringing significant changes in controlling inflation, simplifying public services, and improving the standard of living for citizens under his leadership. He claimed that the government has made progress in providing long-awaited relief to the public and that the economy is on the right track.

Regarding the issue of fake Bhutanese refugees and organized crimes against the nation’s interests, the Prime Minister highlighted the government’s efforts to combat them.

He also informed about the ongoing efforts to bring an end to the long-standing chaos and conflict in the country and implement essential tasks to elevate the nation’s economic prosperity under his leadership.

He stressed that despite the expected political changes, the focus should be on improving the country and its people’s lives. The success of this change is crucial as failing to bring about positive changes in Nepal’s condition would be a great tragedy and pose risks to national disasters.

He also expressed that his commitment to the country and its people remains intact as he becomes the Prime Minister and that he aims to bring significant improvements to the nation’s condition.

He acknowledged that foreign markets have been difficult for Nepali products, and issues related to foreign employment have remained unresolved, particularly for the Nepali migrant workers in Italy. He pledged to simplify these matters through legal and structural solutions.

During the event organized by the United Nations, the Food and Agriculture Organization, he discussed important matters with the Prime Minister of Italy and the UN Secretary-General in an informal setting. He expressed his confidence that Nepal’s relationship with Italy would become stronger and trustworthy.

He highlighted the issue of Nepali communities living outside Nepal, who cherish their homeland more than their own families. He appreciated the active participation of non-resident Nepalis and expressed gratitude to them for bringing the problems they face to the government’s attention.

In the past two years, non-resident Nepali communities expressed some grievances, and the government reached an agreement with them to accommodate their gatherings in one place during the Prime Minister’s presence, for which they expressed their gratitude.”

The Foreign Secretary, Bharatraj Poudel, addressed the issue of non-resident Nepali citizenship. The Nepali Ambassador to Austria, Bharatkumar Regmi, who was participating in the program, mentioned that they are very close to the Nepali community residing in Italy. He stated that the Nepali community faces various problems, which they have brought to the attention of the Nepali government.

Participants who were from outside the country also expressed their love for the motherland more than their own families. They thanked the government for creating an environment where non-resident Nepalis can obtain citizenship.
