Kathmandu : The meeting of available central leaders of the CPN (Maoist Center) was held on Saturday at Prime Minister’s residence in Baluwatar. Although the agenda for the party’s central committee meeting has discussed, concrete decisions could not be reached this time.
During the meeting, Prime Minister and party chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ and Vice Chairman Pampha Bhusal briefed about their foreign visits. Prime Minister Dahal had participated in the “Food Systems Summit” organised by the United Nations and the Food and Agriculture Organization in Rome, Italy. He returned to Nepal on Friday after leaving for Italy on June 28.
Similarly, a team of Maoist leaders led by Bhusal had gone to New Delhi at the invitation of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) nine days ago and returned last night.
“Today’s meeting included briefings about the visits to Italy and India. Chairman Prachanda and Vice Chairman Bhusal shared the information,” said Secretary Dinanath Sharma to Nepalpage.
The agenda of the central committee meeting has also finalised, and it will be announced very soon . He also informed that discussions were held about organizing a special general convention instead of the upcoming national conference during today’s meeting.
