Kathmandu: Prime Minister and Chairman of the Nepal Communist Party (Maoist-Center) Pushpa Kamal Dahal “Prachanda” revealed that ‘this coalition government is accused of being involved in different conspiracies to overthrow it’ this while addressing the party’s training program in Kathmandu on Tuesday. He stated that there have been numerous attempts to destabilize and overthrow the coalition government, and although there have been many efforts to undermine his government, they have not succeeded.
He claims that this coalition will last for five years, even if there are no significant events. “Various conspiracies against the government are currently in place. Those trying to break this coalition government are making a lot of effort. But I don’t see anyone succeeding. As much force as they apply, they are falling in the eyes of the people, and this is the reality. The coalition will last five years, at least as far as I can see now. There won’t be any big changes. We will continue to make this campaign successful,” he stated.
Presently, Prime Minister Dahal expressed his concern about extremist ideologies and behaviors, which are attempting to reverse change through religious or sometimes ethnic means and weaken the Maoist movement. He stated that the Maoist movement alone can address these issues, which arise from the struggle for the rights of oppressed, caste, and class communities. He emphasized the importance of maintaining national unity and harmony, which only the Maoist movement can ensure.
Prime Minister Dahal remarked, “We already have many unresolved issues in our town, around 36 of them related to the war era. Even today, there are matters pending from the peace process. I have initiated good work as the Prime Minister, but after that, two more issues have emerged. That too will be addressed. We are facing obstacles as we progress. We are one and we will move forward together. After we become strong, these things won’t matter. We will win, and nothing will affect us. We might become weaker as attacks increase. After I became Prime Minister, I have faced 36 issues against me, related to the war period, and even after becoming Prime Minister, two more issues have been added.”
He warned that if a new revolution is not initiated now, the country could be in significant danger. He revealed that he sees a risk of change being reversed. He also mentioned that there is a threat of reactionary forces attacking him as he is not as strong as during the war era.
