Kathmandu, Oct 16: Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has begun the distribution of new currency notes for Dashain from today.

With the beginning of the Dashain festival, NRB started to distribute new currency notes from its central office in Baluwatar.

People are queuing up to get new currency notes. NRB has printed new notes of more than Rs 10 billion this year for Dashain.

NRB gave the facility to change new currency notes up to 18,000 for each person.

The public can get currency denominations of Rs 5, Rs 10 Rs 20, Rs 50, and Rs 100 for Dashain.
