China will send relief worth Rs 100 million to earthquake victims

Kathmandu: China has decided to provide relief worth NPR 100 million to the earthquake-affected people in Jajarkot and Rukum.

According to the Chinese Ambassador to Nepal, the aid is being provided through the South Asian Countries Emergency Supplies Reserve.

The relief materials sent by China include tents and blankets. The Ambassador mentioned that the relief materials sent for the earthquake-affected people will arrive in Nepal in a few days. He also indicated that additional relief would be announced for Nepali nationals affected by the disaster.

Death crosses 157

The powerful earthquake that recently struck Jajarkot claimed the lives of 157 people, including 99 women and 58 men. Jajarkot has been identified as the epicenter of the earthquake. In Jajarkot, where the highest number of casualties was reported, 157 people lost their lives, including 72 women and 33 men. Similarly, 52 people have lost their lives in Rukum West, including 27 women and 25 men. As of now, there have been 166 casualties in Dailekh and Jumla, with 5 people discharged.
