Medical team of Sudurpashchim returned from Surkhet

Ghodaghodi,  Nov 7: A team of expert doctors was sent by the government of Sudurpashchim Province to treat the injured of the devastating earthquake, whose epicentre was in Jajarkot, has returned before reaching the earthquake-affected area. 

The government of Sudurpaschim Province has returned consultant doctors from the Surkhet district. 

A medical team led by Dr Shiv Raj Paneru, an Orthopedic Surgeon at Seti Regional Hospital in Dhangadhi, Dr Ganesh Fulara, Hem Raj Joshi, Crisis focal person of the Health Directorate and Min Bahadur Dhami of Health Office, Kailali and four other health personnel were going to the quake-affected area but were returned from the way. 

Joshi said, “Social Development Minister of the provincial government, Khadga Bahadur Pokharel and Dr Rabin Khadka, Officiating Director at the Health Service Directorate in the province, said that there is no need for an immediate medical team so we returned from the way.”

The team handed medicines worth Rs 400,000 to the  Social Development Minister Pokharel.
