Kathmandu, Dec 15: Former Home Minister Bal Krishna Khand, an accused in the fake Bhutanese refugee scam, has been presented in front of the Kathmandu District Court (KDC) today.  

With the verdict of Patan High Court to release Khand on Rs 3 million bail on Thursday, he was presented in Kathmandu District Court on Friday to complete the release process. He has submitted a bank guarantee of Rs 3 million to KDC today. 

Khand will be released only after being presented to the Department of Money Laundering Investigation (DMLI) and the Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA).
