Kathmandu, Jan 10: Police seized more than Rs 33 million from the residence of a ‘Spiritual leader Ram Lal Bomjon’ on Wednesday.
Superintendent of Police Nabaraj Adhikari, who is also the spokesperson of the Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) said that the millions were recovered during a search from Bomjon’s residence at Tan gaun located at Budhanilkantha Municipality-6, Kathmandu.
As per the spokesperson, Nepali currency worth Rs 30.3 million, and 3.092 million worth of currencies from 17 different countries, making a total of Rs 33,400,000 were recovered from the property of Bomjon.
Further investigation on the matter of missing women at different points in time is underway.
Issuing a press release on Wednesday, police stated that a key to an SUV, bill books of three two-wheelers, and multiple electronic devices, laptops, pen drives, iPads and tablets, and mobile phones were also seized during the search.
