PM to take vote of confidence tomorrow

Kathmandu, Mar. 12: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ is scheduled to seek a vote of confidence in the Parliament at 11 am on March 13.

Hitraj Pandey, Chief Whip of CPN (Maoist Centre), announced during a recent party parliamentary meeting at Singha Durbar that preparations were underway for the Prime Minister to take the vote of confidence. 

He emphasized the mandatory attendance of CPN (Maoist Centre) MPs at the House of Representatives meeting on the day of the vote and issued a whip to ensure participation. 

Pandey highlighted the significance of both the confidence vote in the House of Representatives and the National Assembly elections, stressing the importance of party members’ presence for both. 

In contrast, the main opposition party Nepali Congress has instructed its MPs to vote against the proposed confidence motion by Prime Minister Prachanda. 

Congress Chief Whip Ramesh Lekhak has issued instructions for MPs to attend the House of Representatives meeting and vote against the proposal.
