43 injured in Rupandehi bus accident

Butwal, June 12: 43 people were injured when a bus met with an accident in Saljhandi, Sainamaina Municipality-10, Rupandehi. 

A bus with a registration number (RA 1 Kha 2783) heading towards Kathmandu from Dang broke down on the bridge at Saljhandi Bazar at 11:50 PM on Tuesday and collided with a truck carrying sand with a registration number (La 1 Kha 687), causing an accident. 

Deputy Superintendent of Police Manohar Prasad Bhatta said that 43 people, including bus driver and passengers, were injured in the accident. 

The injured were taken to the nearby local hospitals and most of them were discharged by Wednesday morning, while some are undergoing treatment. 

According to the Police, the co-driver of the bus is seriously injured, and the identity of him is yet to be ascertained.
