Foreign Minister Dr Rana urges SA scholars to research on common problems

Kathmandu, Aug 22: Foreign Minister Dr. Arzu Rana Deuba has urged academics to conduct research on common problems of the South Asian region and come up with solutions.

She said so during a meeting today with Prof. K K Agrawal, President of South Asian University (SAU), according to the secretariat of the Foreign Minister.

“Climate change is a very tough problem of this region. There are many other common problems. I think a joint research on such burning issues of this region and recommendation for solution by the academicians and expert of this university will be helpful,” said Foreign Minister Dr. Rana during the meeting in New Delhi with the SAU delegation led by its president Prof. Agrawal.

On the occasion, Prof. Agrawal informed the Foreign Minister about the activities of the SAU and proposed for establishing an affiliate campus under it in Nepal.

Foreign Minister Dr Rana is returning home today concluding her five-day official visit to India.
