All exit points from Kathmandu disrupted

Kathmandu, Sept 27: All exit points from Kathmandu have been disrupted due to the landslides caused by incessant rainfall that created havoc on Friday and Saturday, killing over 100 people.

According to the Kathmandu Valley traffic police office, there is no situation at present for any long-route bus and other vehicles to go out of Kathmandu.

No transportation has started even at corridor areas with the valley while efforts are underway to drain the waterlogged areas.

According to the police, Balkhu-Pharping and Dakshinkali-Sisneri road is blocked, Prithvi highway is blocked at Chandragiri, road to Lele and Tikabhairav is blocked, Tribhuvan highway in Makawanpur, BP Highway and mid-hill highway in Kavrepalanchowk, Madan Bhandari highway in Sindhuli, Prithvi highway in Dhading, Aranik highway, Barhabise-Tatopani road section in Sindhupalchow have been blocked due to landslides.

The police has said that efforts were underway to remove the debris from the roads and open them for traffic mobility.
