Kathmandu, Jan 28: The Election Commission (EC) has submitted its annual report for the fiscal year 2080/81 before President Ramchandra Paudel. 

Chief Election Commissioner Dinesh Kumar Thapaliya submitted the report amid a function in the President House, Sheetal Niwas, on Tuesday.

President Paudel said that periodic elections are a basis for strengthening the federal republic democratic state, development of the nation, and stability of the country. 

He viewed that election is a beautiful and indispensable aspect of democracy for people can obtain and utilize their democratic rights through elections.
