DPM Singh urges private sector to stress on production area

Kathmandu, Nov.14: The Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Urban Development Prakash Man Singh has requested the private sector on the production sector. 

Inaugurating the ‘Fin Electro Tech 2024’ which started on Thursday at the Bhrikutimandap in Kathmandu under the organization of the Federation of Electrical Entrepreneurs of Nepal (FEEN), he asked to give priority to the production sector.

He said, “We need to focus on the manufacturing sector.  The gross domestic product (GDP) of Nepal is declining. Therefore, we have to emphasize the field of production to increase GDP.”

According to the DPM Singh’s Secretariat, saying that the need for clean energy is increasing lately, he stressed that it is necessary to create a situation where export can be done by producing electricity that can meet the demand of the production sector. 

He said that if we can use the democratic product then it will have a good impact on the economy of the country. 

Deputy Prime Minister Singh said that the present government is working to bring Nepal’s economy into a rhythm, and said that the government is positive in addressing the issues raised by private sector organizations such as the Federation of Nepalese Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

DPM Singh said “The Government has paid attention to issues raised by private sector. Everyone will witness the positive result after some time. You mentioned about exhibition hall. Yes, there will be a need for an exhibition hall when the economic activities intensify. We will move forward with finding a way out for building a modern exhibition hall after consulting with you all.”
