Pedestrian dead after being by motorcycle, two injured

Sarlahi,Dec.20: A person died after being hit by a motorcycle at Lalbandi Municipality of Sarlahi district under the East-West highway.

A man died in an accident that took place in front of the football field located in Lalbandi Municipality-6, around 6 PM on Thursday.

According to the Area Police Office Lalbandi, a man looking around 50ish of Terai origin was killed when he was hit by a motorcycle (Ba 94 Pa 9234) en route to Parwanipur from Lalbandi. The identity of the deceased man is yet to be ascertained.

Binod Kumar Shrestha, 21, of Parwanipur Lalbandi Municipality-16, driving a two-wheeler, and Niraj Lama, 27, of Gharibathan, Ishworpur is a Municipality-12, Sarlahi District -12, riding behind the motorcycle, were injured in the accident.

According to the Area Police Office Lalbandi, both the injured have been referred to Kathmandu after receiving initial primary treatment at Lalbandi.

Sujan Pathak, Police Inspector of the Local Police Office, Lalbandi said that an inquiry has been made to ascertain the identity of the deceased man and a circular has been sent to other police units.

Police inspector Pathak said that the body of the deceased, currently at Max Hospital of Lalbandi, will be sent to Provincial Hospital Malangwa, Malangwa for post-mortem.
