China Global Television Network (CGTN), has posted a tweet saying that the world’s highest peak lies on the China-Nepal border.
Earlier, on May 2 it had tweeted that Mount Chomolungma, popularly known as Mount Everest, is located in China’s Tibet Autonomous Region.
This earlier tweet has already been removed . The new tweet says: “An extraordinary sun halo was spotted on May 1 in the skies over Mount Qomolangma, the world’s highest peak, located on the China-Nepal border”.
The issue of India’s inauguration of link road to Lipu Lekh in Nepal’s land has become a top controversy in Nepal. Amid this big controversy china has tweeted saying the world’s highest peak is located on the China-Nepal border.
