June 18 Kathmandu : Bamdev Gautam, who is currently located at the party office, met with CPN-UML Chairman K.P. Sharma Oli for about an hour. Although he expressed his willingness to actively participate in the Communist Party (UML), he mentioned that due to the disorganization within the group, he has faced delays.
“I had already sought to join the Communist Party and be active, but there hasn’t been any discussion on how to manage the party comrades,” Gautam said after meeting Oli. “Now is the time for challenges. In the upcoming elections, we need to secure 6 million votes. I am here to work, not just to receive salutations or applause.”
Oli urged Gautam to become active within the party. The specific responsibilities that he will undertake have not been disclosed. Gautam stated that Oli will provide guidance and advice to the leaders.
Party leaders have indicated that Gautam’s decision to retire at the age of 70 was made for the organization of the Communist Party. According to party sources, Gautam is enthusiastic after meeting with Oli at the party office.
