Kathmandu July 4 : Minister for Agriculture and Livestock Development, Dr Beduram Bhusal, inspected the vegetable market which is being constructed at Chovar.
The construction of the market covering some 23 ropanis of land has been undergoing for seven years. He enquired the concerned people and company why the construction works were slow. Talking to media persons following the field inspection, Minister Bhusal blamed that the construction company was irresponsible because the undertaking had to be completed some years back.
He directed the construction company to intensify the remaining tasks. The facility would help commercialize agriculture sector, Minister Bhusal believed. He further stressed the need for prioritizing agriculture products and marketing to ensure food sovereignty in the country.
According to him, coordination and cooperation among three tiers of government is essential to build socialism oriented economy envisioned by the constitution. Moreover, Minister Bhusal was for boosting investment in agriculture sectors. Farmers are the drivers to make economy dynamic. Minister Bhusal was accompanied by ministry secretary Govind Prasad Sharma.
