Meditation essential for stress management: DPM Shrestha

Kathmandu, Sept 24: Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister Narayan Kaji Shrestha has said once meditation is internalized and practiced in life, it becomes an effective tool to stress management. During a concluding session of a daylong self-awakening campaign and meditation workshop at the Armed Police Force’s headquarters on Saturday, DPM Shrestha viewed meditation is also an essential life skill. However, right process of meditation should be identified and practiced accordingly, he underscored. Similarly, DPM Shrestha shared that meditation and yog would be made compulsory under the Home Ministry. A 15-minute meditation and yog will be encouraged among the employees at the beginning of office hour. Earlier, the workshop was inaugurated by President Ramchandra Paudel. Dignitaries as Chief Justice, Chief of Army Staff, Home Secretary, Inspector General of Nepal Police, Inspector General of Armed Police Force, Chief District Officers from the Kathmandu Valley, Chief of National Investigation Department and senior officials of Nepal Police attended the workshop.
