KATHMANDU: sept. 26 . Doctors from various hospitals of Kathmandu took to the streets on Tuesday demanding security.

Following an attack on their colleague at the Manipal Hospital, Pokhara on Monday, the doctors staged a demonstration in Maitighar this afternoon demanding stern action against the culprits.

They said that safety should be guaranteed at the workplace and the Amendment Act on the Safety of Health Workers and Health Institutions should be implemented.

They also demanded the resignation of Home Minister Narayankaji Shrestha and Health Minister Mohan Bahadur Basnet.
