Health Ministry urges to not use coal while keeping warm

Kathmandu, Dec.4: The Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP) has urged denizens to be vigilant while using heaters and geysers.

In winter, different mediums such as lighting fires, heaters and geysers are used to be warm, however, unpleasant incidents can happen if not enough precious are taken while using them. So, to avoid such situations health ministry made a public notice on Monday on the issue to aware denizens.

According to the Health Ministry, warming technologies or natural mediums for lighting fire should be used in a well-ventilated room only and should avoid using any sources of coal to keep it warm.

MoHP said that flammable objects such as paper, and clothes, should be kept far away while using heating technologies.

Heater should be shut off time and again and mandatorily while sleeping. The geyser should be kept in an open space outside the bathroom and should avoid a long time under it.
