NC, Maoist Centre discuss about NA election

Kathmandu, Jan 2: Ruling partners Nepali Congress and CPN (Maoist Centre) today held a meeting to discuss about the upcoming National Assembly (NA) elections scheduled to take place on January 25.  

In the meeting took place at the Prime Minister’s official residence in Baluwatar, Prime Minister and Maoist Centre Chair Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’, NC President and former Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba, among others, discussed about the NA elections, according to NC Chief Whip Ramesh Lekhak. 

He said the parties will be sitting for a meeting with other political parties over the upper house elections. 

NC Vice President and Deputy Prime Minister Purna Bahadur Khadka, General Secretary Gagan Kumar Thapa and Chief Whip Lekhak were among those accompanying Deuba in the meeting.  On behalf of the Maoist Centre, Senior Vice Chair and Deputy Prime Minister Narayan Kaji Shrestha was also present. (RSS)
