Kathmandu, Feb 14: President Ramchandra Paudel attended the Basanta Shrawan ritual at Nasal Chowk at Hanuman Dhoka Palace on the occasion of Shree Panchami on Wednesday.

There is a tradition of the President to attend the Basanta Shrawan ritual on the occasion of Saraswati Puja.

The president was welcomed by the Nepali Army with gun salutes and musical bands. President paid homage to Goddess Saraswati, known as the goddess of knowledge.

GoddessSaraswati is worshipped in Basanta Panchami and is believed that happiness, peace and prosperity are obtained by performing Basanta Shrawan.
