Election process needs to be facilitated as per people’s expectation: PM Oli

Kathmandu, Sept. 4: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has said that the election process needs to be made easy upholding the wishes and expectations of the people.

Addressing the 12th conferences of the Forum of the Election Management Bodies of South Asia (FEMBoSA) held in Kathmandu on Wednesday, PM Oli said, “We need to make joint efforts to facilitate the election process according to the wishes and expectations of people in and outside country amid the opportunities and challenges of migration, climate change, and social media.

He said, “Any citizen should be able to exercise their voting rights wherever they are. We will try to create a proper environment for this.”

PM Oli mentioned that it is a common responsibility to proceed with the election process, which is an integral part of democracy, amid the challenges to human life and the adverse effects of the melting of mountains, rising sea temperatures, and climate change.
