Lekhnath, Oct. 28: The Communist Party of Nepal (Unified Socialist) is going to compete alone in the local level by-elections to be held on December 1.
CPN (Unified Socialist) ran the elections together with the five-party alliance in the previous local level, provincial assembly elections and to elect the members to the House of Representatives (HoR) assembly.
In a press conference organized by Socialist Front Press Organization Nepal, Pokhara, Kaski on Monday, the Chairperson of the CPN ( Unified Socialist) said that Unified Socialist will stand alone in the by-election of next month.
Chairperson Nepal said, “We have already made the name list of candidacy in some areas while other areas are yet to be filled. We will fight alone in the upcoming by-election. The political equation will change in a way that cannot be predicted.”
The former Prime Minister said, “The political equation of Nepal cannot be predicted as the weather. We are not inclined to power but to make the party.”
“In some places, we have already decided the candidates, in other places we are doing the same. We will fight alone in this by-election,” said President Nepal.
He emphasized that the government’s focus should be on eradicating corruption and good governance.
